hi i have a 91 teg ls with brand new alternator and the battery light come on and still on for a 15 a 20 minutes with a readin of 12.6 volts at the battery and after the famous 15 at 20 minutes the battery light comes off and the reading on voltmeter at the battery is 13.5 and up what is the problems?

How old is the battery?
Sounds like it's past its prime years and may no longer hold a charge.

 

sh*t my car is dead tonight.....no more juice on battery my battery light as never come off for real and the result is my car return to home on the towing

 

update a new battery is in the car and now the light come off if im revving the engine at 3.5k and if the idle drop the light come on and after 5 minutes the light dissapear and the charge is normal after the famous 5 minutes or if the light
dissapear
test note idle= 12.4 a 12.6v
revv=12.8 +-
after the light is dissapear=13.5@14.9V
come on guy help me please
