i have a 95 integra ls in which i put type r shocks fron t and rear with type r control arms...as for springs i have tein s tech...i have a skunks 2 pro camber kit on the front and rear...i was thinking about upgrading to different shocks....what are some good choices.....i dont think im looking to do coilovers....tokico...bilstein...what do you guys recomend? i have read through some tech articles and im clueless as far as spring rate and all that goes.

 

Its not easy to recommend a set of dampers without knowing your spring rate, but off the top of my head I would say KYB GR2 or Koni reds. Seems like you don't need adjustabilty. Stay away from Tokico blues.

Call Tein and ask them which ones they recommend for your car with their springs.

 

I will always recomend Koni yellows. They carry a lifetime warranty, offer some height adjustment without using coilovers, and are easily adaptable to changes in spring rate. You can also adjust with comfort in mind.

Koni's are definitely the best bang for your buck, performance is on par with full coilovers priced at 3 times there MSRP.

Your S tech springs will work just fine, but why are you against a coilover?

 

i just dont have the money for coilovers...also i cant use kyb gr2 cause they dont work for type r....what about bilsteins? i know u cant be cheap and get a great product but im not looking to drop $1000...

If your happy with your S tech springs, pair them up with the Konis for now. If you ever want to upgrade to coilovers or a stiffer spring, the shocks are adjustable and will accept either.

Last I checked bilsteins were a bit higher in cost, and offered no adjustability. I have them on my truck, they are a well made product but I still think konis are better for the integra.

 

what about these shocks.....Tokico HTS Series Adjustable Gas Shock Absorber.....i found them for about 600 and they seem to be extremely adjustable....

 

If your willing to spend that amount, stay away from Tokico at all cost.

ASR subframe brace with 24mm sway bar full kit...$450
