all the type r's don't have ac, am i correct? how much would it cost to put it in, where can i get it, and should i go to acura for this?

It was an $850 (give or take) option on the '97-'98 Type R and standard on the '00-'01. Go to your dealership if you want one installed on a non-equipped ITR. But they'll be charging you some atrocious labor rates on top of the cost for parts so you might consider someone you know and trust that can provide parts or labor

 

When I had my R, the dealer said, anytime I wanted A/C, he'd do it for $1000.00cdn. That's about $650.00 US. It was a good deal but I never ended up putting the A/C in.

 

If you know how to do A/C work, you can just buy the parts and put it in yourself.

 

It's not an option on 2000-2001. My car came with A/C stock

 

It was an option on Canadian Type R's 00-01

yeah... I never recalled a/c ever coming stock on the R's in canada... if you wanted it... $1000...
