So i have a fuel smell comming from my car which i have determined to be the tank. Since im going to have the tank droped should i just go ahead and install a new fuel pump in the new tank? It is a 90 Integra RS with 114k miles. Anyone experenced a fuel pump failure before? It would just be really easy to do it now.

 

If you have the cash, then now would be the time to replace the pump.

Just make sure the leak is coming from the tank and not just the breather, inlet or outlet lines.
