Default Goin' Turbo+nitrous

Ok, so i've made up my mind and it's final. I'm going Turbo (custom job)+ a Nos wet kit, for the smallest applications (ex. 40hp to 70hp).

Lots of people will think i'm crazy, cause my car has 174 *** km's on it and that i'll blow the **** out of my engine, and I haven't even checked the compression and leak down. Worst comes to worst, if the engine doesn't give good compression ratio or whatever, then I get a new engine instead of all this gear and wait another summer.

On to buisness what else do I need, only bare essensials, also if I don't have the cash for an intercooler for now, how do I go about that?

Here's what I know I will need

-Turbo manifold (Custom job)
-larger exhaust line (Also custom job)
-Downpipe (You guessed it...custom job)
-BOV
-Possibly a wastegate ( I think my tubo has one built in)
-A boost controller (Either manual or digital)
-FPR
-new pistons (Saw a review on SPR pistons in Import Tuner and they gave good results at a good price)

Also thinkin' about new injectors and ECU.

Unlike some and like many, I can't pay for the best gear out there, so i'll be thinking budget but also quality at the same time. No I won't be getting the cheapest things out there, cause that's a waste of money.

Anyways, if any of you have any suggestions, or you know some reliable people that sell on e-bay, then let me know. Thanks all.

first things first; budget, custom, and quality do not go in the same sentence when talking about turbo kits. if you were to get a quality custom turbo kit, it would cost you about twice as much as to buy something from Greddy or Revhard.

After working with my friend installing his Revhard Stage II kit in his LS, i highly recommend it. with the tial wastegate upgrade, and it comes with FMIC.

Well my brother in law has turbocharged numerous cars in the past, he will be doing it again for me. I don't pay for anything except for the materials, the rest he is doing it for free just to see my whip a few V8's for his personal enjoyment. Anyways, thanks for the heads up on that kit. But I already have a very clean IHI turbo and the rest will cost nothing, so I guess I'll stick with this option...wouldn't you?

#1: You should consider a new fuel pump over 5 psi or so. They're cheap. Look on honda-tech, there's a sale on Walbros for like $90.

#2: You will need new injectors for turbo + nitrous. It's not an extra mod or something On your stock 240s you'll lean out the second you squeeze and you'll be buying yourself a new motor faster than you can say 'What happened to my eeengine?'

#3: FMUs don't work. Do not buy one. Get a proper fuel management system like a Hondata s100 w/ boost. Your engine will thank you.

#4: Digital boost controllers are a daily driver's best friend. Get one if you can afford it. I recommend the AVC-D.

You have three option: Cheap, fast, and reliable. Pick two.
