Default Integra GS-R half shafts... reman? new? aftermarket?

Ok, gotta get new CVs.

Remanufactured about $85 ea., aftermarket (ViTek) are like $625 a pair (ouch). New stock like $150.

Remanufactured a bad choice?

Remanufactured are fine as long as you're not planning on making insane amounts of power. The best thing to do (on the cheap at least) is to get a set of lifetime warranty axles from whatever parts store, that way if you do happen to step up to the big power you get free axles every time you break em.

sounds like a good plan, thx

Don't plan on insane mods for years anyways, just simple stuff (intake, headers, etc) for now.

What he said. I picked up a passenger side axle ready to go for 80 bucks from Advanced Auto Parts. Warrenty included. Can't go wrong with that!

I got the lifetime warrantly ones from autozone, and i've considered it a curse. $60 an axle, free axles for life, but that means you get free lousy axles for life. I've gone through 8 autozone axles, and i don't drive harshly at ALL. Some of them have been broken from the moment i put them in, and others after a few months. I'm almost thinking next time they break i'm gonna bite the bullet and get some raxles or something.

i think autozone are autozone brand, they're just remanufactured axles, and not very well remanufactured at that

damn, you got suckered tim!! VSV can get you some axles with a lifetime warranty for $175 each. and these are pretty good axles. Felix has them on his turbo HB and he beats the sh!t out of them, and is still on his first pair. in fact, they pretty much swear by these things.
