1. Buy some PB Blaster or WD40.
2. Generously spray where the stock header connects to the catalytic converter.
3. Generously spray the head bolts securing the stock header to the head once the heat shield has been removed.
4. Go have a beer or two.
5. Wipe down where you sprayed.
6. Undo the bolts securing the stock header to the cat. Save your gaskets.
7. Undo the bolts securing the stock header to the head. With some fanagaling it will drop out through the bottom.
8. Install the new header in reverse order. Remember your gaskets. Exhaust manifold and donut that is.

As for the exhaust. Same steps as 1-4. Drop the old exhaust and bolt in the new one. Remember your gaskets.

Your one pitfall is going to be pesky bolts/nuts. Have patience, use leverage where needed, and use the right sockets with no strip wounds.

#4 very handy if you live in a northern area where there is lots of snow fall and they put salt on the roads. Keep a few extras just in case. A torch, acetaline probably,as i don't think propane is hot enough, could also be used to break loose pesky bolts.

Have something ready to cut the bolts off if they round off or strip. Also I would spray every bolt and nut on the header and exhaust everyday for a few days before you tackle this. I would also recommend new gaskets for the header bolting to the head and the down-pipe bolting to the cat. Also buy new bolts and springs that bolt the header to the cat, those like to break.

Southern California FTW!!! Oh, btw, I sprayed my bolts everyday for a week. I don't know if that helps but I got the bolts off after some grease.
