damnit sorry guys but i'm sick and tired of reading about this topic...i swear this same topic comes up at least once a week!
just make sure not to start your car when water is up to your floorboards.....bypass valve isnt fullproof.....just put the stock airbox on if you are worried...

This post wasnt really about hydrolock its more about which one I should buy. As for the comptech do you have to buy the whole short ram just to get the filter or is there somewhere where you can just buy the filter?

i could be wrong, but when it came down to hp and tq, short ram and CAI made about the same HP, but when it came to tq, the CAI raped the short ram. am i wrong or right. right now i have a short ram. that thing sounds AMAZING, but as for performance, i dunno. water is not really an issue here in Tucson AZ, so i might just buy the 2nd half of the pipe and make me a CAI.
