Default Help with valve cover bolt



Its the driver side rear bolt on the inner valve cover near the number one spark plug. How do you replace the bolt?

what i would do.

use a demel to put a slice through the top of the bolt.

then use a flat head screw driver to twist it out.

Just pull the valve cover off. The rest of the bolt is under it. The part that's broken it just the top of it. Underneath is the head of it that screws into the head.

Exactly. An open ended wrench will take hold to the mid-nut and get it out for you.

Easy fix huh? Did you buy some extras? I have about 3 that I will never part with so long as I own my Integra.

i got one extra outer and one extra inner studs. the dealership didnt have any other in stock. i also ordered 8 of those washer/grommit things for the valve cover
