Default Confirm Bad Clutch MC -- pIcs inside

Hey guys,

My pedal took a shit on me today. Inspected the lines -- no leakage, reservoir empty, but looking at my pedal I'm 95% sure this my MC is the problem.

Could you guys take a look at the following pics just to confirm? You can see the dried fluids along the firewall so I think this is where I lost my fluid.

Thanks!

edit: 106,000 miles so according to my search this is around the right place for the MC to be toast.

Yep. That's a dead M/C.
Mine looked virtually the same when it gave out at 110,5xx miles last fall.

Thanks Dave! Wasn't sure if I'd get any help on a Sunday afternoon.

Would you recommend I swap the slave to be sure? I was thinking of just swapping the MC and flushing the fluid and calling it a day.

Sadly its -20 here and this is gonna suck to do.

I didn't replace the slave when I did my M/C.
It's been 8000 miles of daily LA stop-n-go driving with no ill effect.

When it does go, at least it's an easier job in terms of ergonomics. h:
