Default Going about removing/shaving the side door moldings..

Has anyone here bothered to do this before? Just trying to make the car look a little nicer as I'm going to paint it eventually, and wondered if there was a best way to go about taking them off and whatnot?

It's definitely not an easy task. I don't suggest attempting this yourself, unless you have some prior experience with body work.

I used thin pieces of aluminum & tack welded them on from the inside of the car. Then I filled from the outside with bondo glass, sanded, and perfected with regular bondo. It's held up great for a year now.

I've thought about that, but havent attempted yet. Shouldnt be too bad if you have some body work experience.
