Default Ignition Woes....

2000 Integra LS, 116000 miles. Recently, the ignition is giving me some resistance when trying to start the car. It's not the steering wheel lock function either.. where you have to jiggle the steering to get the key to turn. It's kinda.. beyond that to the point I worry I may break the key off in the ignition.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like your ignition switch might be faulty. Since you have a 2000 teg you also have the immobilizer in the ignition switch. Not sure if you'll need a new one along with a new ignition switch. You should be able to connect it to the new one and the switch itself isn't too expensive.

Your key could also be getting worn a bit. Are the edges getting rounded at all? Do you have a spare to compare with the key your using?
