Racing Medallion is a little on the loud side, especially w/o the silencer. Might want to consider the Apex-i exhaust, or the Evo instead.

well, i can give u an opinion next week, i'm gettin the evo this weekend and installing it sometime soon i guess. And i think u'll get a much louder exhuast with teh smaller muffler style N1 mufflers which i think the racing medallion is like. But the evo is supposed to have less of a bumblebee sound and more of a deep tone. Plus it looks really nice. The racing medallion style seems so played out lately, and imitated with those cheap axle backs.

no problem man.... i'm actually waitin on teh guy who has the thing to get back to me to set up a meet for the pick up. my email addy is taesukoh@hotmail.com, email me so i won't forget to keep u updated. And by the way, i'm not sure about tanabe's exhuasts, but greddy's exhuasts are 50 state legal i believe. But tanabe is a reputable company tho, not to knock them, even neuspeed contracts out to them for some of their products, like they are in r/d for a new audi a4 exhuast for neuspeed.

EVO.

Speaking of which, I've got one for a GSR. Used, cheap. Let me know if you decide on an EVO.

don't expect a miracle out of your exhaust, unless you get catback which might get you 4-5 hp. The best upgrade is a "Cold Air" intake system, I have 4-2-1 headers, aem cold air, 2 1/4 in exhaust catback and I would tell you that exhaust is the least bang for the buck power you will get. Why don't you go with CAMshafts instead for a few hundreds more. Skunk2 or Crower's

I think the Racing Medallion is really loud, personally. I have also heard the EVO, and to tell you the truth, I am not at all impressed with that either. I have Tanabe, but mine is the G Power Medallion. It has some decent horsepower gains, and it doesn't have the obnoxious sound that you hear all over the place. It is actually fairly quiet at low RPM's. It is really low and deep, but you definitely can hear it at about 3500. Not a weedwacker sound, but a nice deep sound, like exhaust should be!! :ghey:

I do NOT like the sound of the EVO. The Tanabe gets my vote if you stay away form the racing and stick with the hyper. Nice and deep, not raspy or harsh...just right.
