Default dang accident :(

hey guys.. my car is pretty jacked up rite now.. i was wondering though... bout kumho ecsta supra 712's.. for some reason they feel like more slipperty than my original stock michelins.. is that just me.. or is it true.. oh yea.. i also got 205/50/15's.. i dunno.. they dont squeal when i turn.. but yea.. they dont feel like very tight on the pavement.. i wonder if maybe the tires made me spin out like i did .. those michelins squealed like crazy.. but yea. they grabbed the road pretty well..

Damn, that looks bad. What exactly happened? I know that spun out but what were the circumstances leading up to this? BTW was that a 4-door GSR?

The Khumos need to be scrubbed in before they grip well... slippery like hell for the first 500km. I found after my first track day they were alot better.

accidents happen, I wouldnt say it was the tires. Regarless of if they are new or not, when you over drive a car it dosent matter what tires are on it. It almost sounds like you should have just ran the rods over but its all situational. Hopefully you have some insurance to help you out or the highway owner will maybe cover some of it. (county or city)

Glad to hear no one was hurt. Is the frame bent up in there? I see panels that are bent.

the kumho 712s aren't the best tire in the world, but they're far better than the stock michelins. heck, for their price (or what their price used to be), their grip is excellent.

however, in this situation, i don't think it would have mattered what tires were on your car (once you hit the rod and spun out, that is).

also, sounds like speed was a factor..

Sorry to hear about your car. Hope there isn't any structural damage. I don't know about Kumho's grip since I don't have them but I know thw stock michelin's suck. I only have 15,000 miles on them and I feel them wanting to give out all the time.
