Default '97 GS Bolt-Ons.. Advice..

Hey guys-

I've been driving my GS to and from work for about the last year..

I've decided I want to put a little $$ into it just to help it breathe better..

I don't want to sink a ton of $$ into it, as I have another go-fast money pit, this is a daily driver/airport car..

Are there any mods/bolt ons you guys feel are "must haves?"

THe car is an automatic (I wanted a 5 speed, but it wasn't an option) with around 149K on her..

I've also been thinkin' about lowering it and putting some wheels on it, but I don't want to get into scraping issues like I have on the TA.. I scrap the headers on that joker all over the place..

Any help would be greatly appreciate it..

Jeff - the Tegra neWb..

do a simple k&n drop in filter and your regular maintenance. the fact that it's auto handicaps it off the bat.

Yeh, I wish it wasn't an auto..

I'm not lookin' for a race car.. I just wanted to open her up a bit..

I've thought about putting a header, catback, etc on it, but I don't want some fart can magic setup..

I'd want it to stay as loud as it is now..

The more I think about it, the more I think I may just stick the money elsewhere and leave this a daily driver..

Yeh, I think you are right..

I'll just find some wheels (thinkin' about some "Fat Fives") and throw some XM in it and leave it alone..
