i've been looking at cams install and it require rotating to TDC for cylinder 1..it said that there are white marking, paint, on the crank pulley..but i've look all over the crank pulley but unable to locate it..seems like the paint might have chipped off..is there another way to rotate TDC?? the car got like 90k on it..kinda sux when u can't see the paint on the pulley..big set back..can't install cams if u don't know how to adjust TDC..

any suggestion?? i'd like to have the ctr cams install soon..

 

Well it's not just paint but on the inside grove of the csp there is a little "chip" cut into it. There should be 1 chip by itself (where the white mark should be) and 3 other chips (red) mark// white marks.

use the cam gears. when the arrows are pointing up, cylinder one is at tdc.

And then mark the pulley for future reference.

Since you mention 90k miles, if you haven't done so already, it would be a great time to do the timing belt as well.

i didn't know u can use the cams gear to do that..ok..i'll give that a try..
