Default Losing power?

I have a 98 Integra with headers and cold intake with a two inch exhaust. Lately when I step on the gas the car feel like the gas is being cut off. The car then like sputters.
It started a couple of months ago, I thought I had some bad gas. So I ran thru that tank and stopped buying the
cheap gas. And it seemed to stop, however, it is more and more often. Any ideas. I am always afraid to bring it to mechanic without knowing ahead of time what the problem is?

start with changing ur fuel filter and the fuel pressure regulator-if the pump goes bad the car wont start-also try a fuel injector cleaner as well-bad gas could have clogged the fuel-if all else fails bring it to a shop and have them do a fuel pressure test-any check engine lights on?

I am having a similar problem with mine. It didn't happen until my o2 went bad.

My engine light has been on since I bought it six months ago. Now do not laugh he told me to disconnect the battery and it would reset. yes it did for 2 hours. I have used fuel injector cleaner several times and it helps for a while. Can I chg the fuel filter myself or is it that I would
have to take it to a mechanic.

Do you know why your engine light is on? If not, take to a place like Autozone. They will scan the code for free.

Sounds like an issue I used to have with my Integra... Turned out to be a bad primary O2 sensor.
