exhaust tickets suck!!
I got an exhaust ticket awhile back and took it to the state referee and got it sound tested at 87.88 db and receive the compliance cert. Did a trail by letter and sent in all the documented proof and they still found me guilty?? Now, I'm requesting a trail in person to fight it again, any of you guys ever had this happen?? I'm just piss, because this is wasting a lot of my time.

I've been warned about having a modified exhaust, but I've also been told that mine isn't illegal, plus it passed DMV inspection in Boise because it needed the rebuild certi...
I just tell them I bought it like that, it passed inspection and they are always like "you better fix it" so I just say "yeah I will" but never will because it's not illegal. C'mon, it's Idaho....

Civic401, your car was tested and passed. The law clearly states your exhaust must be at or below 95 decibels. Take your certificate to court and all you to pay is a small fee.
Also, carry the certificate in your car, and it should prevent you from receiving a ticket in the future for the same reason.
I've done this three times already, but they were not my cars.

Yeah, I’m taking it to court again. I just couldn’t wonder how or on what basic grounds the judge found me guilty in the first place, when all the proof was provide the first time. I'm thinking the judge was being an A$$ or the court really needs money..
it's simple instead of cops going after the real criminals in the world they make criminals out of normal joe blow b/c they're usually too chicken to go after the real criminals. as a result the courts get over worked by petty shit and the odds are they didn't even look at the documentation you provided(i've worked in a DA's office b4 and they are overworked and usually underpaid so they could care less 90% of the time what proof you provide unless you do it in person) luckily i still live in a state where they aren't anal about ricers being too loud(also v8's can run str8 pipes if there's a cat which is rediculous! damn rednecks of AL)

That's what I thought. I was pretty sure who ever read my stuff didn't even look at my documents or didn't have any knowledge what so ever I was trying to prove. The court clerk told me the judge reads all the stuff but I serious don't think so. I’m fighting it in person now, so I’ll keep you guys posted on what happen.
