Default Lagging start-up

this is a really basic question, but my 99 LS struggles to start up when i turn the ignition. what could be the problems? needs new plugs? i currently changed the plugs about 7-8 months ago with NGK iridium plugs. im not 100% sure whats the problem though

yea try changing the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. If you can have your battery and starter checked out at an autoparts store.

i've never encountered this but my buddies civic used to start up fine it just took a few engine revolutions for some reason. he ended up needing a new ECT sensor and i'm not sure how but it started cranking up just fine after that.
