Default conversion

What's up everyone? Aight I found me the famous type R engine for cheap. The only problem is It doesnt come with the axles. So does that mean I've got to do a conversion with my 94' acura integra since it is a four lug and the R is a five lug or can I just use the axles from my car. Da** those five lug conversions are expensive Thanks alot!

you may need new axles(not for sure) but I know it shouldnt matter about the lugs, they are on the hubs, not the axles. As long as the axles are a correct fit into your hubs, you may only need axles. Call a part store and ask if they got axles for the current configuration, then ask if they got axles for the type R config. and see if the part # is different.once u have proper axles, see if the axle is a proper fit. hope that helped!

You can just change the bolts on the hub from stock to i bolts made by APR or something like that, they are suppose to be alot stronger. I know a guy that did that because he swap a prelude motor in to a 92 civic hatch and he still has 4 bolt, total sleeper lol

So factory axles are good to go, huh? Then why do all these people do the five lug conversion? Just to say that they got it and u don't?
