Default Difference in Engine parts?

i'm trying to do a rebuilt on my 94 ls engine, and i wanted to know if the GSR engine parts ALL fit the 94 ls engine? i heard people say that they are all the same engines and that the GSR engine parts fit the LS engine?

some parts are interchangeable completely and others are not 100% interchangeable even though they will fit, the engine may not run right and i'm nowhere near 100% sure if i'm right about some being interchangeable, but believe me this panel is a good place to find out....welcome to han

The stroke on an LS engine is slightly longer than that of a GSR. Be sure to use LS rods, crank, & pistons. Certain misc. stuff is interchangeable, but to save yourself the trouble I would just use LS parts.

Using GSR crank, connecting rods and pistons will only reduce your displacement and cost your more.
