Default skunk2 intake manifold

I got a skunk2 manifold and the gaskets and just want to know what the difficulty level would be on a scale of 1-10. I think I could handle something around 7.

ahhhh! this is not a simple bolt-on project. GET A SHOP MANUAL - HELMS preferrably! it is a 7, but its more than just taking off some bolts and putting a new manifold on. Good luck!

If its an LS...have fun.

If its a GSR...you'll have a blast removing that stock intake manifold bracket

The difference is with the LS IM, there is a bit more room to work with....definitely more room to fit arms, tools, and hands. It makes a big difference.

I did it with the engine on a pallet and it still wasn't tons-o-fun.

Get a Hondata manifold gasket while you're in there.

Why is that???

Also is there a web site or something that shows a step by step? I know I have found them for intake, header, exhaust, guages and some other things too.

The Hondata gasket lowers intake temps by a decent amount. Its definitely worth the $60 price tag, especially if you're popping off the IM anyway. Definitely a good call.

It insulates the intake manifold from high block temperatures, and in turn cools your intake.

And you won't have to peel it off with a razor blade.

Plus its resuable.
