Freakin bummer...(suspension problem)
I have the Omni full coilovers on my car, I've had this clunking noise in the left front shock for a while now. I've had these on my car for around 2 years now and Omni can't warranty the shock for me nor do they even make that style anymore. This freaking sucks because if I want to buy a new one it will cost 200 and I would need to buy 2 of them to make the ride more balanced because the new shocks are redesigned.
I'm just looking for any where I can get a set of Koni Yellows or even Reds for something other than the 530 price tag that weksos wants(weksos guys PM me if you can give me a deal). Also what kind of spring choice would you guys recommend on a daily driver? I'm looking for a comfortable ride as well as stiffer than stock, just not as stiff as the Omni's.
Basically, what can $900 get me?
TIA fellas.

LOL @ Omni stuff having problems. 900 can get you some koni yellows /w ground control coil overs. Just buy some off the shelf rates if your car is just a dd. Or you can buy some crappy coilover set for < 900. Are you lowering for cosmetic reasons or will it be tracked?
I found a Tokico Illumnia and Tein S-tech combo for around $550, any one have anthing to disagree on about the Tokicos?

For some reason, most of the tokico owners i've run across have had their shit blow out within 2 years.
If you're looking for a decent spring/shock combo, why not look into KYB AGX / Tein STech combo?

From personal preference and from research done by peers and customers on a shock dyno, Koni shocks would be a better choice for the price.
Koni Red non adjustables will work well with the TEIN S-Tech springs if you are looking for looks and comfort. The Koni Red are valved almost exactly the same as the adjustable Koni Yellow Sport. The only difference is the non adjustable dampening. The S-Techs have a very conservative spring rate while dropping the ride height about 1.7-1.8 inches. If you are interested, I can get this combo for you. PM me for pricing.
If you have a budget of $900. I highly suggest the Koni Yellow Sport shocks with the Ground Control Coilovers with standard spring rates. (380/250) Probably the best suspension combo.
The reason why the Omni's are harsh is b/c they run about a 600/400 spring rate on their setup.
I can get you the G/C Koni Yellow setup for $850 shipped.

AGX are good, but they do not warrant anything lower than a 1.5 inch drop in case of any defects or issues.
Koni's can handle up to 500 lbs spring rates and offer a lifetime manufacturers warranty.

I think I'm going to go with the Koni Red/Tein S-tech combo because I want to get away from the height adjustment nightmares and just for ease of installation and budget. Thank you everybody for all of your input, I was so close to buying that Tokico/s-tech package, then I looked here and changed my mind.
Yeap, 2 years or less on everybody I know that's owned tokico...I'll NEVER buy them. My AGX were solid, even though I was dropped more than 1.5"...they took it like a champ.
