Default Toda vs DC header?

What's up everybody. I'm sure it was mentioned in past maybe. Does anyone know what toda headers cost & what kind of numbers do they produce vs a DC header. I'm going to stay all motor & some positive reviews I heard about them. Now for the present time I'll be keeping my oem exhaust for now. Eventually I'm going w/ Apexi WS2.
My car is stock height now but plan on dropping car no more than 1.3- maybe 1.5. Also will be putting a 98-01 Type R lip on so I know that will make car sit a little lower as well.
Any info will be appreciated..

that's not a fair comparison. dc headers make crap for power. the toda is expensive and makes good numbers on a proper setup. it's one of the better headers for a 1.8L and has great ground clearence. ideally you want to match it up to a 2.5'' exhaust to prevent bottlenecks. the apexi ws2 is not 2.5''.

I agree with regard to comparing Toda to DC. I do not know numbers, but I can tell you that the Toda is better quality. Not that DC is bad, it is economical.

As far as the exhaust is concerned anything from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 should not really make that big of a difference with basic upgrades. With the 2 1/2 you will most likely experience more backfiring/popping/crackling noise w/a straight through design. At least that is my experience. With basic upgrades and a 2 1/2.

JDM style DC 4-1 makes good power for the money. I would just get that unless you have supporting mods. I believe it was mentioned before that the toda was designed for a 1.6L motor. If you the proper supporting mods, you should just go a custom header and exhaust when the time comes. Save up and get it at once, no point in buying a header and bottlenecking the exhaust.

Both of you are correct, but as well all know, the difference between a b16 and a b18 is not a big deal.

i would say it's a big deal. a b16 feels like a d16 until vtec.

Does that mean B18 has better bottom than the B16?

Pretty much.

As they always say: There is no replacement for displacement.
