i have no problems out of my DC 4-1. If i would do it over, however, I would get a jdm 4-1.

Now speaking of JDM 4-1 header could it bolt right up to your stock exhaust w/o any mods & how much more performance do you get compared to a DC 4-1 or a Usdm 4-1 Type R header?

The oem jdm 4-1 is comparable to the jdm dc 4-1 and a step up from the stock usdm 4-2-1 header. The oem jdm 4-1 will not bolt up to your stock exhaust, you will need a new cat.

To the OP if you have supporting mods look into SMSP, Hytech, Burns, DTR/SSR or if you are more budget conscious Profab, Sparks, F1 Spec or a similar knockoff. Remember you got to pay to play.

Not impressed? What did you expect? You're not going to get more than a couple HP and some noise out of a header.

all your basic headers like dc, greddy, or comptech will perform almost the same. get the cheaper one.

when you want to make real power you have to step up to a better header like smsp or hytech.

An ITR header swap is not a bad upgrade. The flanges will have to be adjusted but it'll work. That or can spend a near grand for one of the following: Spoon, Jun, Toda or Mugen.

You could try ebay for someone selling an ITR manifold. You may very well find one in the recycler too and ofcourse there is the dealership, but it'll cost about 8 bills and so for that price you could get one of the ones I listed.

The JDM ITR header has a 2.5" collector, so it won't bolt up to a stock cat unless you have a 2.5" flange welded on...or buy a 2.5" cat with a JDM collector flange welded on. You may also have to modify the length of the exhaust piping. It isn't going to be a direct bolt-up by any means.
