Default My hood won't close!! I need help asap!!

Well I use to have a carbon fiber hood on there, and yesterday I open it to do my regular maintance check. Now when I close it, the hood doesn't "pop" back in! It just stays lock but there's still a little gap, which has enough space to access the latch.. so basically anyone could open my hood right now. I adjusted my latch too.. but that didn't seem to help. Oh and BTW I put my stock hood back on.. and i still get the same results . Anyone have any suggestions?

sounds like your stock latch mechanism is broken or out of spec?

i doubt it's broken if it still locks. when my car was broken into, my hood was just like yours. i complained and the honda mech took about 1 minute to fix it. it's probably just out of spec

Make sure the ratchet and pawl on the latch well lubricated and free of any rust or corrosion. If the pawl is seized it won't engage the ratchet and the hood will only latch in secondary position. Also check that all the springs in the latch are intact.
