Default 1995 gsr b18c1 help!!!!

i have a 1995 acura integra gsr and i have a couple of bolt-ons but they really didnt give m the power i tought it would give me.should i get it dynoed and tuned or what? and also my snd gear is going out and i wanted to know if i sould just swap it for a jdm b18c motor? and is their a big difference in between the b18c1 and the b18c in hp/torque?

This is a perfect question for the Integra forum.
Moved to Integra / ITR.

What specific bolt ons do you have installed?
And what kind of performance numbers are you looking for?

There is no reason to swap the jdm gsr into your usdm gsr. Your next step would be to build the motor internally i.e. higher compression pistons, bigger cams, fuel management, etc. etc. etc. or seeing that you have the money to buy a jdm b18c, instead buy forged rods and pistons and buy a good turbo kit and have it tuned!! you can use the stock internals with a turbo kit but only up to a certain point about 300whp to 350whp, which is still more than what you're going to from the bolt-ons that you have or a well built NA motor. Personally i'm an NA guy and i like the challenge of trying to get as much power as possible out of an NA set-up as possible, but to get alot of power quickly you should turbo your current motor!!!

Adding Cams would be a great idea since you have already changed your Intake Manifold.

if you don't want to go nuts with parts right now then buy type r cams and a 99 si tranny put you gsr 5th gear in it and a Type-R final drive and hold on for dear life. this tranny will greatly improve you acceleration!!

What is the diameter or brand of the header, catalytic conv., and exhaust you are now using?

Header collector, where it meets the cat, is usually 2".

It could cost anywhere from $300 to $1000 at the most extreme. you just have to look! the Type R tranny and the 99SI tranny have the same gear ratio's the difference is the final drive. the type R has a better final drive. putting the gsr 5th gear will save you gas mileage on the highway. Putting cams on it will make a huge difference!!
