How: They're not making any more products and they're closing down once they have sold their inventory.
Why: Because they charged a premium price for a premium product while companies like APC came in charging K-Mart prices for absolute shit.

h:I have been told by a Comptech employee that a group of investors came in and bought Comptech a few years back. Since then there has been a fallout of partnerships and they used Comptech as their battleground. Unfortunately this is the end of a great company.
