Default header hookup

After searching, ive found different responses. First, im wondering if a DC 4-1 header will mate with the stock cat on a 00 gsr meaning will it fit the same bolt holes at the same angle on the cat? Second, do you really need to remove ac and stuff to get it on? From the looks of things unbolting from the block and cat should let the stock exhaust manifold come right off and the DC header slip right on. I want to hook the header up but don't have the dough for the rest of the exhaust right now. please help clear this confusion

If the 4-1 is for a gsr it should fit and you shouldn't have to move anything. I doubt it is different than my 99.

the header length on an 00-01 gsr is different then the other year gsr's so as long as it is ment for 00-01 gsr or an LS header u should be fine

Yep.

To answer the second question, you will have to remove something to get it in. I don't know if it would be easier to remove the slave cylinder or the radiator fans.

Couldn't you just jack the car up high enough and bring it up through the bottom of the car? If this has no relevancy to the interference, please disregard.

That is the only way to get the header in. It must come in through the bottom but there is still clearance issues with the radiator fans while putting in a 4-1 header.
