What do you think of this suspension set up?
wheels: enkei rs5 17x7
tires: yokohoma avs es100

koni reds, skunk2 coilovers, skunk2 rear sway bar, dc lower rear strut, dc upper front strut, dc upper rear strut

Good, bad, stupid? Anything repetitive? Suggestions? Will those shocks and springs clear the wheels/tires just fine without rubbing?

lose the skunk2 coilovers, go with ground control, or a true coilover set up... the skunk2 from what i understand is a harsh ride. i have the gc's they ride nice. don't forget a camber kit. and since you only have one post, perhaps you're unfamiliar with the search button :repost:

You'll be fine with the tires if you run 205/40/17 or close if you run 215/40/17's.

Go with Ground Controls, not Skunk's. Or a true COil Over System.

Im not sure Id get a camber kit, I dont need one and im on koni yellows and gc's, down 2 inches. My wear is *very* minimal.

GC's are sweet springs, and my buddy has skunk2's on his GSR on stock dampers, and the ride is actually pretty tolerable. I'd go with Koni yellows as well, 8-way adjustable will go nice with adjustable springs. If you go with yokohama I would highly suggest the AVS sport or the Parada spec-2. I had paradas on my SVT contour a couple of years back, and they were f'ing sweet.

I agree with all these guys, go with the Ground Control. They give an awesome ride without the cost of true coilovers. I got mine from Nopi.com. I am dropped about 2 inches all around with very minimal camber wear, so the camber kit will be all up to you whether to do it or not.

dont use any of that DC sports tie bars etc... they are over priced and flex, IE hurting not adding to your handeling get yourself a neuspeed tie and towerbars with the Type R beaks swaybar kit. Save yourself at least 100 bucks and you'll handle better

i agree the DC bars have holes in them making them weaker and flex. very bad for suspension pieces.

they're more for show than performance.

ok, new list. this sound good?

Enkei RS5 17x7
Yokohoma AVS ES100 205/40/17

Koni Yellows (might end up with reds)
Ground Controls
Neuspeed front strut
Neuspeed lower front strut
Neuspeed lower rear strut
Neuspeed upper rear strut
ITR sway bars (where can I get these?)

Camber kit if I need it.

Do I need all those bars? Thanks for the input.

Are you really going to adjust your car up and down all the time? If not, I'd suggest KYB AGX with Eibach Pro-kits for a conservative drop. But that's just me.
