Default speedometer

hey im new here and ive looked on this site a couple times before, but i was concerned on what to do with my current situation..that is the other day i started my 98 integra ls up and i was driving and i noticed that my speedometer didnt work and the odometer but everything else was fine. i looked around and found to look for the VSS or see if the connection to the cluster was ok, i check the connection that was fine but i dont get why it stopped working out of no where and i was wonderin if someone could help me on findin the VSS or just simply help me. thanks a lot

The VSS is located on top of the transmission.

You can troubleshoot anything using this.

Well when the speedometer stops working, generally it's speedcable (which we don't have since it's electronic), VSS or the gauge cluster itself.

If the rpm / speedometer is both out then i'd try the gauge cluster but in this case, i'm guessing it's the vss.

*edit* here's Vss solde for $30 http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/i...?topic=70770.0
