Default GSR Trans. identification

I am going to look at a supposed gsr trans for sale for my 2000 integra which i am told does not have the riveted vin plate on so how do i tell if it is in fact the real deal as i am told there is a difference between gsr and ls or gs trannys

I dont know but it could be stolen since theres no vin. I would pass on it.

at the very least there should be a sticker with a barcode on it, indicating some alphanumeric code.

with all the stolen parts floating around these days, take a picture of the trans and post it for us to see.
