Default Rattling noise

I have lately been hearing a rattling noise from the driver's side rear of the car. I dont think it could be the hatch rattling for it is closed. I just dont even know what else it could be, and it is hard to check seeing as the car is moving when it happens.

Maybe it's a heat shield from the exhaust. Sounds are hard to track...

Maybe you could get underneath and check it out. You could go as far as lettinng someone rev it when you're under there. Other than that, you might have to put up with it (unless the thing that's rattling rattles off...):dunno:

sometimes the metal latch where the hatch snaps into place will rattle. you can wrap it in electric tape. there's also latches for where your back seats snap into place, you could check those. sometimes the sunroof will have a rattle too. If it isn't any of these, and you're sure it's right around the driver seat, it could be something under the seat or may be something to do with the seat belt. beyond that, i got nothing

It has nothing to do with the engine I think it has something to do with the hatch but it is latched tight... so I was confused as to why it would rattle

Might be the mdf spare tire cover bouncing around, try taking it out to check. Does it rattle all the time or just over bumps/rough road?
