Default 17's Rubbin

Any of you have 17 inch rims with 45 series tires in the back? Do they rub when you take turn (weight shift) I have 40's in the front which dont rub..

I have 17" wheels with 215/40/17 tires and the rears rub like MAD during turns. It's mainly the outside fender rubbing, so I don't think I have the same problem as you.

I plan on getting a rear camber kit to tuck the tire in a little better. A lot of people will tell you to roll the fenders but it *can* result in cracked paint.

i rolled the fenders, and the paint did crack, but only near the lip. i touched it up to prevent rust, then put the rubber trim back on to conceal it.

stay with 40 series!

My car is not lowered either, the outside lip rubs.

I had to trim some metal from the inner lip on the rear of my 1996 integ GSR clear 40's being lowered 3 inches.
I justed used a air hacksaw and trimmed it back to about 1/4 inch
of metal left till the lip and touched up the edge with paint and no more rubbage.
Good luck.
I will post some picks of my integ when i get some good ones taken.
