Default ebrake help.

the ebrake indicator light on my console stays on even if the ebrake is down. this doesnt happen every time, but maybe twice a week in the morning itll stay on.

i pull up the ebrake when i am parking even though its an automatic. its just a habit of mine.

where is the sensor for this thing? how does it work? i want to take that center piece out so i can check if there are loose wiring or something.

thanks

The sensor is under the center console> Just remove it and see why the sensor is sticking.

Yeah, mine does the same thing. I took off my center console when I put my stereo in and put some WD-40 on it to keep it from sticking if that was the problem. That didn't work, so as of now it still stays on with the brake off. But, I am taking it to my Acura dealer this week (Frank Leta) and they are gonna work on it and do whatever they have to do to fix it. I really don't know what the problem really is, but try putting some WD-40 on yours, it may work.

same damn thing happens to mine, don't why, but it seems to only do it in the morning too when it's cold out... it didn't do it all summer and i actually forgot about it, but on one of the first cooler days we had, i started the car and it did it... when someone finds out the cause of this, please post what you did to fix it

i didnt know this problem was so popular. this only happens on very certain days in the mornings.

i dont feel like pulling my cluster out to snatch the bulb out. i think i'll just live with it, untill someone tells me how the sensor looks like.
