Default Integra Short shifter HELP!!

Hey I'm having an issue with my short shifter and i would like to install my old stock shifter...what are the steps I need to take to uninstall my short throw shifter..? also can anybody give me a list of tools i need to do the job...So i can rent them from advance auto parts...thanks

all you need is basic handtools. some sockets and ratchets. once you get underneath the car everything should look pretty straightforward. one tip is you'll probably have to lower the exhaust b-pipe to have better access to the shifter and dont forget to take out the center console inside.

okay ill try that...my shifter seems loose or so...maybe i just need to tighten it up...is it bad to have a short shifter on a ls/vtec turbo integra? because im hearing mixed things about having one on a honda...some people say it can mess up ur tranny? is that true?

short shifters dont mess up trannys. dumbasses that bang into every gear mess up trannys.

I have had one for a couple years now and my tranny doesn't grind or anything. It is just a myth created by retards that can't drive manual transmission. If I had to do it again; however, I would have saved my $100 because it isn't noticable enough to matter.

When I installed mine, I just dropped the whole shift linkage. It was a lot easier to assemble everything when I wasn't underneath the car.

What part is loose? Maybe you just need to tighten the bolt under the shifter?
