Default 138k on car before turbo...

I know this topic has been discussed before, but come one, don't they all just keep repeating? Anyway, I know mileage has nothing to do with the condition of the car, but it may indicate some wear. This guy on AutoTrader is selling his car for $4500 (price is FIRM, he said...) I looked on Edmund's, and it is worth less than $2500. Suppose I could talk him down to that, would it be a good idea? The car is black and an LS. He said it was in a wreck once, and he thought it was totalled, but the insurance company fixed it and spent $11,000 (that's right, eleven thousand bucks) to fix it because there estimate was off. He said the car is umodded and in great condition. Would it be normal to do a compression test before I bought the car? You can buy the kits at auto parts stores, right? I'm really looking for a car with 100k or so, but I am getting tired of looking. I have been searching for about 8 months now, and my patience is growing thin. Everyone around here jacks up the prices and are stubborn and won't negotiate.

I would'nt give him more than $2500 if that's what it's worth.
Expecially being stock and "unmodded"

PLus, I bet since he said that, it was modded and he just took the mods off.
Do a compression test, check the belts and valve clearances and all that crap and then wallah, turbo it.
