Default B16 or B18???

I have a 1990 with a 1992 b18a1. Just wondering if it would be a good motor to put money into to fix up, as in horsepower? If not, is the b16 a better motor, as in faster or more powerful?

The B16 is an overhyped, torqueless paper weight.

For roughly the same money spent, you could build a decent LS/VTEC or turbocharge your current motor... assuming your smog laws are fairly lax. h:

Read the Integra FAQ to get a handle on what's involved with either option.

if just replacement motor B16a or b18c motors are good ones but if your b18a is in good shape turbo is a good option. unless your going all out race the LS/Vtec setup is trouble unless you build the bottom end as it was not made for the high rev's as most of the CRVtec motors and built or LSvtec I have seen here tend to have problems after 15k-25k .
