Hi guys, i'm petty new to swapping engine so need alot of advise from u guys..

Currently i swapping my B16A4 to B18C.

My question is the b18C5 block,crankshaft, piston n rod same as B18C?

I know the different between B18C5 n B18C is the camshaft, vavle n valve springs is difference so i decided to buy all the type R parts to add on..

 

block is the same. b18c5 crankshaft is a heavier, though the same stroke. rods are the same. pistons have a moly coating on the skirts for less fricton and bigger dome.

 

So the material to bulid B18c n B18C5 is actually the same?

I plan to use civic type R dan type R piston for better compression and s for the crank, any advise?

 

if you're going to be using oem parts i would stick with the oem jdm itr pistons and cams. other than that you dont have to worry about the crank and rods.

 

So r u trying to explain tat if if i able to build my B18C with all the C5 parts, i will still get the horse from there?
Let say we r only TALKING abt engine stuffs,exlcude all the intake mainfolds and so on..........

 

a c1 with c5 internals should make about the same hp as as a c5
