Default 1990 LS, pinging

I may be closer to diagnosing the odd engine noises on acceleration.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=254939

Latest symptom is that the engine seems to be pinging, just slightly, during hard acceleration. It was hard to tell at first, but now I can just barely hear it.

I assume that means the engine is running lean on wot, but suggestions would be welcome. The plugs, O2 sensor, fuel filter, and PCV valve have been replaced, valve clearance adjusted, belt re-tensioned and timing marks checked and double-checked. Engine runs well at idle and at steady speed. Thx in advance.

I don't think it has ever been advanced or changed, but checking everything w. a timing light might be a good idea.
