alright, here's the deal. i drive an 95 acura integra gsr. my ex-boyfriend drove it a little too hard (slipping clutch, powershift, e-brake slides, etc ) anyway, i'm looking to replace the cluth very soon and i'm doing it myself so i don't have to worry about garage fees. my problem is that i need some recomendations on a good clutch (cheap) i'm looking at napa for one. any help for an 18yr old chick with vtec would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys.

You can find an Exedy/Fidanza combo on Ebay for under 300 shipped. I have one in my garage that I have yet to install. Pretty solid. I received approval from members here before the purchase and so I am pretty sure it will be a good replacement. So you want to do it yourself? Do you work on cars at all? Just asking, cause it is not something you want to tackle on your own, unless you know what you are doing, or have oodles of time on your hands.

yeah, my boyfriend is going to help me (a lot) :yes: he's a honda certified tech, so i have a feeling he know's what he's doing. also my father is going to lend a hand where need be. we have all worked on cars before, although, this is the biggest thing i've done on a honda/acura. i've mostly worked on vw's. but thanks for the warm welcome

a napa clutch is pretty good, my boyfriend works for napa and we put em in our families cars as well as mine. i recomend (sp?) them. welcome to the site!

 

sounds like your boyfriend is incompitent if you cant trust him to know which clutches are good and which are not

 

Her boyfriend is a Honda Tech. so he knows OEM. He may not know many aftermarket providers or any for that matter that he can actually vouch for. He may just be on the diagnostic & repair end of things. Not parts or part recommendation. Just my 2 cents.

 

haha, yeah, he's being a smart@ss. zyzzyan is the one i'm talking about, myboyfriend. the reason i said i think he knows what he's doing is because i've never actually seen him work on a honda before but i trust him completely to work on my integra.
