adjustable springs help on integra
hey I was doing my springs for my 95 integra, they are adjustable with the aluminum tube as an adjuster, I got these rubber o-rings that came with it and in different thickness, does any body know what I gotta do with them? and also I removed the dust shield off the strut cause it wont fit through the aluminum adjuster, is it all right leaving them out or is there a way to fit it in? would some get to me asap on this, my car is on jack stands right now and I need my ride up and going.
here is how they look like

I would guess different rubber peices would be for different cars. find the one that fits your car the best I guess... most name brand setups usually won't fit with your dust boot either, but then again those are name brands so I can't say how well those will hold without the boots. but yeah it is fairly standard to remove the dust boots.
thanks people... it didn't come with the instructions, dont know why, but anyway I'll try to find the right ring for my car and also there is a washer, i think, is on the strut...i think it holds the dust shield, can i remove that? cause the rubber bushing on the springs, i guess it holds it in place, cant go fully on, cause that washer limits its travel. or is it ok to leave that out too?
hmm time for a diagram...

I assume you are talking about 3 or 15, yeah you can leave them out but I would get smaller OD washers of the same thickness to fill in the gap, otherwise you won't might run out of threads and not have the correct pressure on the bushings at the top of the shock. You probably want to cut the bumpstop one or two sections shorter as well to complete your ghetto-drop, although be aware you stock shocks won't las long with any sizable drop.

If you want my honest opinion on the matter, I would stop right now and get rid of those eBay coilover sleeves.
If the manufacturer can't be troubled to print instructions, what faith can you have in the engineering of the sleeves and springs? Did they even mention the spring rates?
At the very least, upgrade your shocks now ... so you won't have to disassemble the whole setup again when your OEM shocks blow.
Also, $10 says the lower spring perches corrode or bind within 3 years.

I know ebay springs suck, but it was all I could afford right now. I think it is 15, does it come off cause it looks like its stuck to the strut. I am trying to save up so I can also replace the stock struts, but for now, I have to deal with this sucka, plus I don't think I'll be droping the car just yet, I'll leave it to the person who buys my car.
Just find the rubber pieces that fit tight on your shocks and when you put on the metal tube of the coil over it does not wobble. One should be at around the bottom and the around the top of the metal tube. Also for height adjustment there should be a tool to use for that. If you are not understanding me, then just ignore me.
