Default Motor Boating Problem!!!

Hey i'm new to the site.. semi new to the seen.. but not new to import forums!!! lol... i found this site through google... i've got a serious problem looking for any charts/manuals/advice that may help!

i've got a 93 hatch, with a b18a1/hydro tranny/short shift/short ram/no cat exhaust.. now the problem is it motor boats like a mother efer! (revs till about 3 grand then drops.. does this repeatedly!!!) so i sound like a fag ricer cause everytime i pull up to some one i sound like i'm reving at them. getting old! and it's causing my car to start to over heat.. doesn't give the enginge a break at all! now i replaced the idle air control valve.. that cause my car to idle extremely weird unless i let the check engine light come on... i fixed that by re-routing a vaccuum line to the map sensor.. well after that my car started motor boating again... it used to quit once the car was warmed up, but now it does it non stop.. so unless i'm pushing down on the throttle the car is reving on it's own... sounds awful, wastes gas, cause the car to over heat and makes me look like a douche... any suggestions!??!!?

also does anyone have like a chart of all the hoses and where they should be connected as far as vaccuum lines on the intake mani, throttle body, map sensor.. and anything else in that area??

I am not as familiar with the B18A motor so I am not certain but you can get fairly decent pics at hondaautomotiveparts.com.

As for your problem I am almost certain it is a vacuum hose. My old 88 Accord with a carb did that relentlessly until I found the little hose with the leak. You seem to be on the right track.

Take a look at the factory service manual in the FAQ: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...8&postcount=10

I know it is for a B18B, but they are very similar engines.
