Default Ls? Gsr?

Ok well i was trying to decide what i want to do, so i thought i would get some input. I have a 96 ls se with 120,000 miles on the car and about 80,000 on the engine. my car is all scratched up and i have a small dent in the front bumper. I was going to buy some touch up paint from acura and touch up the paint. Work i need to have done, new coilovers, camber kit, fix my windows, fix the sunroof, service my tranny, replace my brake pads, and refill my a/c. If i keep my car then i will buy a 98 and up front bumper. Should i spend the money to fix everything or buy a low mile gsr? I would fix the windows, sunroof, brakes, and a/c if i sell it. I wanted black leather interior, and i have tan. I plan on boosting it later and wanted the gsr engine and tranny. My friend said to just buy the engine and tranny and put it into the ls, but wouldn't it cost more? What do you guys think?

well for the money you spend on buying an GSR you could used it on buying an GSR tranny and motor, thats what i would do. plus you'll be saving a lot of money, so why not just keep the car and maybe sell your motor to get some extra $$$. since you say it only has 80K on it.or sell the car and hope you at least get $4500 but then you'll still need more to buy an good condition GSR.

Low milage gs-r's are going to cost a lot more than your car is worth. Also, no 5+ year old car is going to come with no problems. I'm willing to bet that a low-milage gs-r is going to cost you more money in the end. It will be a gs-r though! that higher powerband will be nice. It's up to you in the end though. Good luck!

its really up too you? if you have the money then go get a gsr, if u don't then start working slowly on fixing up your current car... if you have a lot of money to waste you can buy my 01 turbo GSR... 55k miles, still has 2 years left on extended warrrenty... but pm me if you want more details on that..

What???!!!??? why are you considering selling? You know that extended warranty is walking a fine line with all the goodies you have strapped on there.

well... since you said your planning on boosting, in terms of cost. I'd rather have a fully built Ls motor then a low-milliage gsr motor to eventually go boost on.

Gsr in decent condition $1,500+
LS motor $300
Full internals, stock bore, w/o new sleeves = $1,500 ish? (if you do it yourself).

One thing i really want is the black leather interior. Do you think it would be really hard to hunt down all the interior? It would be a good amount of work and i bet money to. I'm down with keeping my car and fixing it up. I'm just trying to find the cheapest way. Thanks for the replys
