Default Itr Lsd

Will a stock ITR LSD fit any B-series engine? For example a GS-R or 2000 civic Si?

Good luck trying to find somewhere that has done the swap before though.
Its not that hard to do yourself if you've got the Helms Manual and applicable mechanical skill/tools though. I did it in a weekend, although that was because all of the gears fell off of the counter-rotating shaft, and we put the reverse idler gear in upside down.

So I shouldn't trust just any shop with installing an LSD into my b16? I have a friend who's father own's a transmission shop so i assumed he knows how to install LSDs.

Any tranny shop can handle the job. Its just a different differential.

Default tranny info

I've put two LSD's in my car. It's not hard at all. it's time consuming. The MAJOR thing that you need to watch for is the proper shims. The tolerances have to be taken into consideration when doing this because each tranny is differences when it comes to tolerances. The LSD from an ITR WILL fit onto a GSR.

Good luck.

It'll fit into either the S80 or Y80 transmissions.
As far as the install goes, the only trick is preloading the tapered roller bearing. A lot of shops haven't got a clue how to do that (at least that I found). If you go with the new roller bearings that replaced the stock tapered roller bearings, you won't have that problem though. It'll just be a matter of getting your clearance set.
