clutch release arm

so my clutch release arm snapped pretty much in half. anyone have any idea how troublesome it is to replace it? any ideas or comments are greatly appreciated.

Trans has to come off.... but not hatefully difficult. So....... am I the only one wondering how in the world it "snapped pretty much in half" ??!?!?!
