Default 90 Integra LS Codes 9 and 4

***I've searched and can't find an answer***

I've got a 90 Teg that ran fine but needed a new dizzy, so I bought a new dizzy, cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs. Put it all back together and went to start it and forgot to connect the wires that go to the dizzy (d'oh), connected them and went to start and it will start but idles extremly rough and will run for about a minute before it dies.

I have gone through everything I can think of (or find using the search engine) but can not get it to run correctly. The ECU throughs a code 9 and 4, anyone have some ideas?

You may want to disconnect the battery for a few mins. This will reset the ECU. Once you reconnect, start it up and let it idle for a min or so. Then shut off and start back.

Just tried that, it'll start up and idle better then it was but its still really rough. And after idling for about 20 seconds it will start throwing a code 9.

Is this a brand new distributor, remanufactured, or one from a junkyard?

remanufactured...

I kinda wondered about the dizzy shaft being off because it didnt look like the rotor pointed to the #1 cylinder, it seemed like it was almost inbetween.

I believe the distro shaft is keyed meaning it is hard to not put it in right. Check the wiring. What is the stamp on the new distro say? Its a stamp that may look like TD-24U. In all honesty, it sounds like your new distributor may be bad. The code 9 is a code for the camshaft position sensor, which on new hondas is in the distro. It may be located in your distro too...

Thread resurection, I had to take some time off from trying to trouble shoot this problem. I just checked the new dizzy and it has a stamp that says TD-23U could that be the problem?
