Default Belt deflection/tension measurement tool?

How is one supposed to measure the tension on the various belts? The manual states "measured with belt tension gauge" next to the measurement specified. So where, praytell, would one find such a gauge?

Thanks all!

Well, you could do an ebay search for "belt tension gauge".

Or you could do a google search for "belt tension gauge".

I have a Gates Krikit 1, which is a clicker version. Works as advertised, but there's not that much room if you're checking the belts in a b18c1. Involved some hand contortion, and not bumping the tool when bringing it back to where you can read it.

Does anyone else have other solutions, or is this what everyone uses?

Thanks!!

Who needs a belt deflection tool? Just make it tight enough that it doesn't squeal and loose enough that it doesn't stretch it out.

No need for a belt tension measurment tool. All you need to do is tighten the belt till you can't turn it 90 degrees without a lot of effort.
