Default My First Mod!

So I got my AEM sri today (autoanything.com, free and quick shipping, great customer service) and just put it on. The directions were no use at all, and even though I know nothin about cars, taking off the stock restrictive intake and putting the sri was pretty straight forward.

I did the ECU reset by unplugging the 15 and 7.5 fuse (ecu and backup) for a few minutes then let the car idle for 10 minutes.

After that I took the car for a quick spin. Damn, I didn't think it would growl that much! I feel a difference in how the car feels, whether its throttle respose or a little extra umff. I looked at my stock filter and it was pretty dirty so I think the use of a less restrictive pipe along with a new and better clean filter really helped a lot. Definitly more power down low.

Well worth the $89 I paid for it. I thought it came with a K&N filter but it was an AEM filter. I only saw that one on a few different sites, but they said the new AEM filter provides 1-3 more hp after dyno testing.

AEM filters are made by K&N under contract.

Not all products are CARB legal. The EMS is one that comes to mind.
