Default The Five Steps to Diagnosis

Step 1. List your car details: 91 Integra, 155k (after searching of course)

Step 2. List you car mods: 8lb Lightened Flywheel, AEM FPR, BLOX IM, MSD Wires/Cap/External Coil, JG Bored 62mm TB

Step 3. List your problem: Car occasionally stalls when engaging the clutch (coming to a stop). Idle is 800rpm but rough. Car restarts fine after stalls, has no other problems, no power loss, no stuttering, nothing.

Step 4. List what you have checked to date: No codes are being generated by the ECU. Grounds are solid. No vacuum leaks detected. Recently cleaned IACV. Injectors, cap, rotor, plugs are all new. My theories include: bad MAP or TPS sensors (do not know how to test), bad dashpot, bad ground or positive battery connection, bad fuel relay, sticking IACV?

Step 5. You the reader respond with your theory, idea, and method of testing for my problem

You need a tune. However, none of those mods are doing anything beneficial, so there is no reason to blow a bunch of money on a tune.

I had the same problem on my setup, but it resolved itself once I tuned it.

I agree, they'll make more sense once I put install my Crower 404's, DC header, custom catback, AEM adjustable cam gears, apexi vafc, etc. all sitting in my garage. I took some time and $$$ off from my engine build to do my suspension, eibach springs, kyb agx adjustable shocks, ST rear sway bar, 17" Konig rims/tires.

By tune do you mean tune-up or dyno?

404's, eh? I hope you have a smog hookup. h:

Your problem is with fueling when the idle tries to stabilize. It is common with lightweight flywheels to do this. You need to have it tuned on a dyno to get rid of that problem by adding/subtracting fuel at idle. I would recommend that after you have dropped all those other things in.

I think what you can do to check the IACV is once the car is warmed up (fast idle therm valve out of the equation) take off the intake and put your finger over the inlet for the IACV, if that doesn't affect anyhting, there is probably a problem with your IACV.

Thanks, but thats not the problem. I had the lightened flywheel installed for 1yr BEFORE this problem started. Yes, every blue moon the car would stall because of the flywheel, but now it stalls all the time, and idles rough, and occasionally idles at 500 rough. Its not the flywheel, its something additional. But having the flywheel doesn't help the problem it aggrevates it.
